Vinny Linhares is a Masters student at the University of BC. Born in Brazil, he’s also already an accomplished and award winning classical guitarist. Join him for Retrato Brasileiro, a concert of Brazilian Music for the Classical guitar. This event is free for the public.
Italian guitarist Aurora Orsini makes her Canadian debut with VCGS! A rising star across Europe, she’s won top prizes, performed under maestros like Zubin Mehta, and collaborated with major orchestras.
With degrees from Alicante and Boccherini Conservatoire, Orsini brings virtuosic flair and fresh artistry to the world stage.
Our final artist of the concert season, Italian virtuosa Aurora Orsini, will give a masterclass at the Canadian Music Centre on Davie Street. This class is free to audit and we have spaces open for registration for those who wish to participate.
Performance majors from UBC will perform an engaging showcase concert ahead of their individual end-of-year recitals. This event is free for the public. We recommend a door donation of $5 to help us offset venue rental costs, but all are welcome regardless.

The 33rd Annual Northwest Guitar Festival will be in Victoria, BC from March 20th-22nd, 2026.

The Vancouver Classic Guitar Society proudly presents Rising Stars: A Celebration, a once-in-a-generation concert that captures an extraordinary moment in Vancouver’s musical life.
