Guitar Ensemble

The VCGS Guitar Ensemble launches its fall 2025 season on September 7th, 2025 under the direction of Michael Kolk, one of Canada’s finest classical guitarists.

Now in its 5th year, the ensemble is open to a maximum of 16 adults of all skill levels interested in playing guitar with others. If you’re interested in joining the ensemble, visit Join the VCGS Guitar Ensemble page and complete the form.

Participants must be VCGS members and have the ability to read music. A fee of $145 is charged to help cover VCGS expenses in organizing the ensemble.

Each session involves seven rehearsals that take place every other Sunday morning culminating in a ensemble concert featuring the entire ensemble plus solo, duo and trio performances. Our locations are:

Rehearsals at Kokoro Dance/ KW Studios (236 - 111 Hastings St W, Vancouver)
with the concert taking place at Pacific Spirit United Church (2195 West 45th Avenue, Vancouver)
