The VSO School of Music invites classical guitarists interested in improving their skills to summer camp. Led by the VSO School’s Head of Guitar Stanton Jack, participants will enjoy a relaxed environment in which to learn guitar technique, fretboard strategies and ensemble playing. Summer Adult Guitar Explorations runs for two hours daily from July 6-10.

The Victoria Conservatory of Music’s Guitar Summer Intensive (July 22–25, 2026) offers four days of immersive learning with Artistic Director Michael Dias and guest faculty.
Open to guitarists aged 10+ (minimum one year experience), the program includes:

The 5th annual Okanagan Guitar Festival returns to Kelowna August 6 - 8 with three stellar classical guitar concerts featuring festival favorites, award-winning virtuosos and a remarkable teen prodigy. The lineup includes Simon Farintosh, Alec Pearson, Vivian Chen (harp), Tejay Liao and Catherine Huo. ‍

The 7th Vancouver Classical Guitar Festival, presented in collaboration with VCGS and sponsored by Capilano University, is a unique opportunity for guitarists of all levels to join in masterclasses, workshops and a guitar ensemble, and for music lovers to be inspired by faculty concerts by the legendary Argentine guitarist-composer Maximo Diego Pujol, and local guitar champions Michael Kolk, Iminah Kani, Vinny Linhares and Luis Angel Medina.
