Workshop & Masterclasses with Alon Sariel

Early Music Vancouver is inviting classical guitarists interested in early music to a very special workshop August 1st – 3rd at UBC School of Music led by Alon Sariel, a mandolinist, lutist and EMV Artist-in-Residence. Alon is bringing together musicians who play bowed or plucked instruments (intermediate/advanced level, amateurs and professionals) to join in three days of chamber ensembles, workshops and masterclasses focused on early music performance practice.

The orchestral sessions will concentrate on early music works by Bach, Marcello, Vivaldi, Geminiani and their contemporaries.

The cost ranges from $325 - $400. Applications must be submitted by May 15, 2024.

You or your students can apply for funding through Early Music America. Applications for scholarships must be received by April 1st, 2024. You can apply for up to 3 workshops, for example, Unconventional Bach plus relevant workshops at our summer festivals, Okanagan Guitar Festival and Vancouver Classical Guitar Festival.
