Whether the work of groundbreaking contemporary composers, gorgeous instrumental music rarely heard on guitars, or the genius of J.S. Bach, ChromaDuo is vigorously commissioning, arranging, and performing some of today’s most exhilarating music.
“These are uncommonly beautiful works, highly inventive and personal,” says Kenneth Keaton (American Record Guide). “ChromaDuo...is simply exquisite. Their sounds are perfectly balanced, yet individual, and each has a ravishing tone with lots of range. Ensemble is perfection, even in the freest passages; and their interpretations of these pieces are convincing, even compelling. This is some of the most purely beautiful playing I’ve heard in a while.” Germany’s Fidelity agrees: “The playing of ChromaDuo is extremely subtle and sophisticated, the communication nothing less than perfect.”

David Sossa will be giving the VCGS a farewell performance before he makes a big move to Colombia at the end of the month.
David will also give a full length recital on October 15. -
Acclaimed for his charisma and versatility, guitarist David Sossa has fascinated audiences internationally. As a soloist, David has performed in Japan, Italy, France, Spain, England, Canada, USA, Mexico, Cuba, Colombia, Chile and Ecuador.
David was born in Toronto, Canada, and grew up in Colombia. He received his early musical education from his teachers Humberto Montoya, on the bandola and folk guitar and Gerardo Giraldo on the classical guitar. Later, he studied with Jairo Cardona, Jesus Marin, Roberto Fernandez, Dario Echeverri, and Daniel Bolshoy.
David played as first guitar at The Toronto Guitar Society Orchestra during the seasons 2011 to 2013. Among his recordings are a solo CD, which was released in December 2010 on the Salty Road label, getting over 1000 copies sold in just 2 months. Another CD for saxophone and guitar recorded and released in 2021, and his collaboration with various commercial CD recordings locally and internationally such as "The Anechoic Experience", and "Jumblesque" by Canadian composer Unthunk, and the music for two documentaries in Colombia.
