Described as a “master of the new generation”, Japanese classical guitarist Kanahi Yamashita is celebrated for her controlled technique, fearless musical imagination, and groundbreaking transcriptions. Kanahi performed since childhood with her celebrated father Kazuhito Yamashita and made her solo debut at age 13. The award-winning Kanahi promises a concert of rare brilliance, intensity, and unforgettable artistry.

The winner of multiple major international competitions including the Guitar Foundation of America, Russian-born guitarist Vladimir Gorbach, now based in Australia, is hailed as an exquisite master of the classical guitar. He has been called ‘nothing short of a magician’ for his refined musicianship, elegant tone, and mesmerizing technique. Vladimir performed on the VCGS stage in 2013 and we’re thrilled to welcome him back for our 20th anniversary season.
