Dear VCGS Patron,

This newsletter is short and sweet. I know it is a very busy time of year for many people. Why not treat your self to one (or both) of our upcoming events. I’m sure you’ve been working hard and deserve it!

Livestream Tickets Now Available for the Canadian Guitar Quartet

We hope to see you in person on March 18th, but just in case you can not make it we will be hosting our via livestream. Purchase your ticket, starting at $5, and enjoy from your own home or rewatch anytime over the next 2 . You won’t want to miss this iconic ensemble! The pre- for this will feature UBC playing in ensembles and solos as prepare for their end of recitals and juries.

Concert March 18th 7:00 pm, Pre-concert at 6:15!


Adult/Amateur Open Stage

February 13th - Starts 2:00 PM sharp.

Tickets are available now.
We hope that you can make it out to the Mary Olson Hall (Vancouver Academy of Music) and support our local upcoming talent and passionate amateurs.

This concert is extra special
, not only does it mark a return of this event to an in person event, it will also feature our newly formed amateur ensemble. This group has been rehearsing for months to put on a great performance.

Want to perform? One week left to register! Registration closes February 6th, no late registrations will be accepted.


Local Festivals

Please take a quick note of the following up coming dates for the Kiwanis festival and the VAYA. Of special interest to teachers and students.

Kiwanis - Registration closes February 6th (extended). Event will take place April 24-26.

VAYA International Music Festival - Registration closes March 1st. Submission deadline for videos will be March 29th.


Duo Rendevous - date moved

Unfortunately we’ve had to move our event featuring guitarist Daniel Bolshoy and local violinist Jasper Wood to next season, November 25th. We apologize for any disappointment but we look forward to hosting a few great events in our summer months to keep your guitar needs filled! Please keep an eye on www.vancouverguitar.org.
