2017-04-04 Our Volunteer Board of Directors is the Heart of VCGS

In our 20 years, we’ve only had three presidents of our VCGS Board of Directors - Galina Jitlina from 2007 to 2017, Alec Pearson from 2017 to May 2026 and now Jason Park, Galina is still very active in the society and runs the twice-yearly student recitals. Alec has now transitioned to a paid part-time position (and still largely volunteer) as our Artistic and Executive Director. But it goes beyond the president. Our board of directors has always been the core of volunteers who get everything done - from bookkeeping to fundraising to event organizing to promoting and communicating.
