2023-08-27 - New Monthly Socials Begin
In August 2023, Jason Park launched the first of what would become our monthly guitar socials. Performing in public or in front of others is one of the most stressful parts of learning to play an instrument but its also one of the most important and rewarding. A social is like an open mic but more intimate and with less pressure. Jason wanted to create a supportive space where guitarists of any level would feel comfortable playing for one another. And he has done that so well.
Our regular monthly socials have happened in libraries and community spaces all around the lower mainland from Surrey, Coquitlam, Burnaby, West End, Richmond,, White Rock and more. From the ‘name train’, to ‘mini-ensemble’ to technique workshops and simply playing what you’re working on, guitar socials are a warm and welcoming community.
