Registration is open for the Vancouver Kiwanis Festival: http://www.vkmfestivals.org/content/register. The deadline is January 22, 2018. You can read about the rules of the Festival here: http://www.vkmfestivals.org/content/rules. The Syllabus for guitar was updated and now includes Concerto Class for the advanced players:  http://www.vkmfestivals.org/sites/default/files/Classical%20Guitar_2018.pdf. As before, the Vancouver Classic Guitar Society sponsors the Scholarships to the winners in Junior, Intermediate and Advanced categories and they were increased. The adjudicator this year is Alan Rinehart, who recently got the great review of his latest recording in www.classicalguitarmagazine.com and the Western Canadian Music Awards recently nominated him for best Classical Artist for 2017 - you can read about Alan Rinehart here: http://www.vkmfestivals.org/content/alan-rinehart-classical-guitar.
