In order to vote you must be present and paid up in membership fees. Voting by proxy is not allowed.
 Family memberships are entitled to one vote.


The offices of Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Program Director, Publicity Director, Secretary-Treasurer and Member at Large will be open to election. Candidates must have served as members of the Executive Board or as volunteers for at least for one year to be eligible for election to the Board of Directors. Members of the Executive Board will be elected as well. A Nomination Committee will maintain a list of nominees. To put names forward for nomination please email  info@vancouverguitar.org

Registration open for Kiwains Music Festival

Fifth year in a row Vancouver Kiwanis Music Festival welcomes classical guitar students. This year the festival dates for guitar are April 15 and 16.  Vancouver Guitar Society provides scholarships for the best performers in Junior, Intermediate and Advanced divisions. The registration deadline is January 23rd, 2014 – don’t miss this opportunity! Look at the Syllabus and register early to avoid disappointment.

Special congratulations to Alan Liu, who has received a trophy, VCGS Scholarship as the most accomplished guitar player, and the Tom Lee Scholarship.
