First Annual Carlo Aonzo Vancouver Mandolin Workshop
Improve your technique and learn more about the history of this beautiful instrument.
This workshop is a rare opportunity to learn from one of the world’s top classical mandolinists. Carlo Aonzo of Savona, Italy – performer, recording artist, conductor, arranger, musicologist and instructor – has led many such sessions in Europe and in the U.S. Now here is a world-class workshop you can attend without leaving town.
The workshop, designed to benefit intermediate to advanced players, will include technical exercises, some music to work on as a group, and an interesting historical presentation.

Very happy to report that the guitarist Aquizamin Garcia was one of the highest rated performers in the first round of the UBC Concerto Competition. The finals are open to the public and are on Saturday, January 23rd in the UBC Recital Hall. Aquizamin is scheduled for 3:40 and will be performing the Concerto Elegiaco by Leo Brouwer.
